IS200EDEXG1A is a General Electric EDEX Exciter De-Excitation Board for GE EX2100 excitation control systems. In the EX2100 protection scheme, the EDEX board fires the de-excitation SCR (crowbar) to safely discharge generator field energy, working with the EXHS and EMIO boards to coordinate de-excitation logic.

The GEH-6632G EX2100 user guide describes the EDEX as containing two independent firing control circuits and two independent sensor circuits, providing conduction sense feedback and voltage retention, and notes that multiple EDEX modules can be connected in a master/slave arrangement for larger exciters.
