The General Electric IS200VSCAH2A (VSCA) is a Serial Communication Input/Output board for GE SPEEDTRONIC™ Mark VI turbine control systems, providing I/O interfaces for external devices over RS-232C, RS-422, and RS-485 serial communications, including intelligent pressure sensors and electric drives.
VSCA connects to an IS200DSCB terminal board through the J6 and J7 front-panel connectors using 37-pin D-shell connectors with group-shielded twisted-pair wiring. For RS-422/RS-485, DSCB supports distances up to 1000 ft at baud rates up to 375 kbps; for RS-232C the supported distance is approximately 50 ft (or 2500 pF cable capacitance), with short-haul modems available for longer runs.
