The General Electric IS215VCMIH2B (VCMI) is a VME Bus Master Controller board for GE SPEEDTRONIC™ Mark VI turbine control systems. VCMI is the communication interface between the controller and the I/O boards, and provides the interface to the system control network known as IONet. It also serves as the VME bus master in the control and I/O racks, managing board IDs for all boards in the rack and their associated terminal boards.
VCMI is available in two hardware versions (H1 and H2), each with RUN/FAIL/STATUS diagnostic LEDs, a reset pushbutton, and IONet network connectivity.
For maintenance and procurement teams, IS215VCMIH2B should be matched to the existing rack architecture and IONet configuration per GEH-6421 Volume II before ordering a replacement.
