The General Electric IS215VPROH2B (VPRO) is an Emergency Turbine Protection board for GE SPEEDTRONIC™ Mark VI turbine control systems, forming an independent emergency overspeed protection system with associated IS200TPRO and TREG terminal boards. Triple-redundant VPRO boards reside in a protection module separate from the main turbine control, controlling trip solenoids through TREG.
VPRO provides emergency overspeed protection and emergency-stop functions, controlling 12 relays on TREG (nine of which vote in three groups of three to control three trip solenoids). VPROH2B is a lower-power version that omits support for a second TREG board (applications requiring a second TREG on connector J4 must use VPROH1A/H1B instead), and includes an Ethernet connection for IONet communications with the control modules.
For maintenance and procurement teams, IS215VPROH2B should be matched to the existing TPRO/TREG terminal boards per GEH-6421 Volume II before ordering a replacement.
